Jeff proposed to me on July 3rd, 2007 at a Skillet Concert at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI and we spent the year that followed planning, researching, designing, brainstorming and creating the best event we could for our family & friends to enjoy our wedding day!
We got married on August 2nd, 2008 – 8 years to the day from the time we started dating. Over the course of that year I dug through all the wedding stuff I had accumulated from previously saved magazines, looked through books and magazines at the library, paged through and bought books from Barnes & Noble and made my way through the usual wedding websites online in addition to my best favorite Google who answered all my random questions, when I didn’t feel like paging through physical documents. After weeding through so much content and after Jeff dealt with all my stressful nights of indecision, we both thought there had to be a better way to organize all this wedding information. As I was going through the planning process all I kept thinking was, “if only I had someone to tell me what exactly I should be doing – and when… it would have made things a little less stressful”, instead of constantly feeling like I should be heading in ten directions at once. If I only knew what really was important at this very moment!
So together we created Your Rockstar Wedding! Originally it was to be a source for those who wanted to create a wedding with a Rockstar theme, as we did, so people wouldn’t have to search all over for ideas and materials like we had done. Then we broadened our idea to try to be helpful to all brides, and help give all newly engaged couples a timeline to lessen the stress and guide them to a successful and exciting wedding! At Your Rockstar Wedding I do all the writing, based off of all the material I researched when I was planning our wedding and I also do all the audio clips. Jeff does all the background work of designing, coding and anything technological regarding the site!
